About AMIGOS Boston:

The AMIGOS Boston Chapter recruits, trains, and supports AMIGOS participants and their families from Massachusetts. Our chapter accepts participants August through December of the fall prior to each summer experience. During the months of November through June participants will take part in local training and fundraising events as they prepare for their AMIGOS experience.

About the Position:

AMIGOS Boston is searching for 2-3 Assistant Fundraising Coordinators to lead and support the chapter’s fundraising efforts. The fundraising coordinator is responsible for overseeing all chapter fundraising events and coordinating the distribution of fundraising materials to participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with fundraising Board fellow to create fundraising plan for the upcoming year.
  • Order fundraising brochures from AMIGOS headquarters (HQ) for use in the letter writing campaign.
  • Assist participants with the annual fund appeal (letter writing campaign)
  • Organize a team for fundraising project implementation
  • Organize other chapter fundraisers. (Example: product sales, board fundraising, local grants, etc.)

Time Commitment:

Year-round responsibilities, with primary time commitment in winter and spring.

  • Fall: explain fundraising expectations to current year participants.
  • Winter: oversee all fundraisers organized by the chapter.
  • Spring: evaluate success of fundraising and implement any last minute fundraisers if needed.
  • Summer: prepare fundraising plan.

You will have the option of becoming a voting Board member of the Boston Chapter. Time commitment for joining the Board is one 2 hour meeting a month throughout the year for Board meetings.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills; ability to think outside of the box to come up with innovative ideas; familiarity with GiveBig, Click&Pledge, and other online fundraising tools a plus.
